Newspoll in The Australian becomes the latest pollster to have One Nation leading on the primary vote, recording a four-point surge to 31% with Labor down one to 30%, the Coalition down two to 18% and the Greens down one to 11%. Anthony Albanese records his worst net leadership rating to date, with approval down four to 36% and disapproval up three to 60%, while Angus Taylor is down one on approval to 35% and down three on disapproval to 45%. Albanese’s lead on preferred prime minister is in from 46-38 to 44-38. The poll was conducted Monday to Thursday from a sample of 1240.

The cost blowouts in the NDIS reflect failings in disability policy and the rushed NDIS roll out, if government stopped trying to be heroes the NDIS can be directed to the profoundly and severely disabled.

The NDIS suffers as do many government policy attempts to support those in need.
A disproportionate cohort of Australians are of the mindset that if you they themselves aren’t eligible directly then they will benefit in other ways.
The list this type of peculiar “sport” is quite extensive in Australia and has been a favorite for years.

The bungled “major upgrade” to the VicRoads site left Victorian motorists unable to perform basic functions such as checking their registration and scheduling a test, and there is no end to the disruption in sight.

It shows the increase in the proportion of participants with a diagnosis of autism up to 43%. The proportion is still increasing year on year.
It shows the majority of services being provided by unregistered providers. Although “Note that for self-managed payments, the total number of providers is unable to be determined since it is not a requirement for self-managed participants to provide the ABN at the time of payment.”
There are multiple reasons that the NDIS is outpacing Medicare.

I have faith in the Australian electorate that it will ultimately reject a Hanson/Joyce/Rinehart triumvirate, based as it is on half-truths, lies, racism, and reeking of Trumpism. The media’s giving her a dream run at this time, but if history’s a guide, an implosion is on the cards, resulting from infighting & her at best rudimentary knowledge of the economy, and other crucial portfolios. Like it or not, Labor now own AUKUS. They need to manage it’s failure with care.
Seeing the Peru election count makes me feel incredibly lucky to be in an election system where votes are counted quickly and in a timely manner. It took them 3 days to count 4% of the vote.
