Newspoll state swings

Time for a new thread. Here’s a chart showing state-level swings to Labor as recorded by Newspoll throughout the campaign. Note that the most recent result seems to indicate a mild Coalition recovery in Victoria being offset by worsening results elsewhere.

  1. Labor would still win on 52-48, despite Nostra’s distress.

The other thing to note, is that if Galaxy is 52-48 it is likely they have rounded it down. So the actual Galaxy poll result would be somewhere in the range 52-52.49.

  2. SMH Reports Liberal Lindsay Candidate’s husband says: “I was stupid.”

    Candidate says: “I’m with stupid.”

I love how the candidate and Kelly didn’t know anything about it, but the did know that the people who confronted the pamphlet deliverers were “unionists”… impeccable logic, would certainly hold up in court…

  3. Sky news have an intriguing combination of headlines.

It’s just changed but it used to say:

“Asbestos campaigner Bernie Banton is thought to have only days to live.”

    “TWO DAYS TO GO”

  4. Sounds like Bongiorno changed his recording… the “48” was emphasised on the Adelaide broadcast. He also said that the ACN poll still to come has Labor “a LOT further” ahead.
