  1. About stfu.

I occasionally get the x – show comment (Author) followed by the offending post en clair. That applies to the whole page.

    Fixed with reload (Chrome).

  2. Musrum and Dario,
I am still unable to use the bubbles to link to comments I would like to refer to.

I have the latest version of Firefox and have installed all of the scripts on GreaseMonkey.

Do you have any idea why I can no longer use this function? It worked once but then never again. 🙁

  3. C@tmomma: I’ve just added a new version which will display the version number under cccp settings.

Can you update and confirm you are running Ver 4.09?

Dario: I’ve put this it to help with trouble-shooting. We have to remember to manually change this each time we put in an update.

  4. Musrum, I get all updates automatically, so assume I have version 4.09. A Drop Down Box tells me I have just updated.

This is all I get when I click on cccp settings:

    Use the old Crikey font
Stop the login bar from floating
    Hide avatars

Top 2 ticked, bottom one not. 🙂

Bubble feature still not working though.

  5. The bubble trouble for me is definitely when I overload the system. I would have thought a Dell Studio 1749 with 4 GB RAM could have coped.

    Belarc says:

    2.53 gigahertz Intel Core i5 M 540
    32 kilobyte primary memory cache
    64-bit ready
    Multi-core (2 total)
    Hyper-threaded (4 total)

Do I need to upgrade the graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650?

  6. Musrum@328,
The latest version has a title of Better Bludging

and under that a black bar with: cccp Ver 4.09

For some reason my Grease Monkey cccp is stuck on version 4.07. So where/how do I get version 4.09?

    Ta. 🙂

  7. I was on 4.04, which was working (could tell from font change, italic quotes), but after installing 4.09 there is no sign it is operating. No settings link, no font change, no italic quotes. Disabling stfu 1.03 or changing execution order made no difference.

  8. I removed 4.09 (I had not bothered to remove 4.04 earlier) and re- downloaded and installed it, and now it works. So, a mystery forever I guess.

  9. STFU is now not working properly. This is reproducible and looks like a genuine bug (but I don’t recall it before upgrading to cccp 4.09). The bug is that it sometimes shows the comment that’s supposed to be hidden and has the line
    – Show Comment (Author)
above it (it definitely says “Show”, not “Hide”). In one case it did this for the second comment on the page by that author after working correctly for the first.

  10. Try to change the order of execution (this sort of issue has come up before) I have it executing after cccp (which I think is the correct order).

  11. Good, Musrum. I thought the default display of the Firefox add-ons manager page was execution order (it showed cccp first), but it wasn’t. Working properly now.

  12. I’m using Chrome. Just re-installed today. I followed the instructions at post 335. Nothing happens. Can I just get ‘stfu’ on chrome?

  13. I keep having to refresh when I go back to the PB page after looking at something else – the font has changed to serif instead of the sans-serif which I prefer.

    Is this a feature?

I am using a Mac with the latest Chrome and cccp.

  14. I should add that once I refresh or go to a different page on PB, everything is fine.

But otherwise I am dropped back into the PB default rather than cccp, if I go away and do something else on another tab.

  15. It seems to happen when I go back to a tab of PB which has, in the meantime, put up another page.

I refresh, and don’t get cccp.

I go to the next page, and get cccp.

I’m not sure. If you are up to a bit of trouble-shooting can you right-click then “inspect element” to bring up chrome’s dev tools. Hit refresh then check any errors that pop up (it will be a red circle with an “x” followed by a number). Post a screenshot to http://imgur.com/ and let me know.
