The fortnightly News24 Pulse poll by YouGov records next to no change on voting intention, with Labor up a point from their nadir to 25%, One Nation steady at 27%, the Coalition steady at 23% and the Greens down one to 13%. The Labor-versus-Coalition two-party result, which is based on preference flows in 2025, remains tied; Labor’s lead over One Nation, which is based on respondent-allocated preferences, widens from 54-46 to 53-47. The poll is distinctive in being first to show Anthony Albanese trailing Angus Taylor on preferred prime minister, Taylor’s 41-39 lead being a reversal of the result last time. Conversely, Albanese’s lead over Pauline Hanson widens from 50-42 to 51-39. The poll was conducted last Tuesday to this Tuesday from a sample of 1500.
YouGov: Labor 25, One Nation 27, Coalition 23 (open thread)
Angus Taylor records his first ever lead over Anthony Albanese on preferred prime minister, though the Coalition continues to run third on voting intention.
Thanks WB
Is this sentence correct?
Another failure for the lib/nats/one nation propaganda media units , when they talk about the preferred pm , and still getting it wrong , Angus Taylor has only improved on Petter Dutton by 2% , Dutton was 39% – Taylor 41%
Lib/nats can not gain ground , One Nation has peaked at 30%
They just can not lay a glove on Labor/Albanese.
Still a 8/9% swing against the federal lib/nats – with the lib/nats combined primary 23% , under Dutton lib/nats combined primary vote was 31.7%
Under Taylor
Liberal Party primary vote including QLD Libs under 20%
No better than they were Under Sussan Ley, despite ,being more favourable politically for Angus Taylor ,
Alarm about electricity shortages caused by the AI data centre boom is driving majority support for South Australia exploring nuclear energy, an opinion poll reveals.
The YouGov poll shows 59 per cent are not confident about Australia’s ability to meet growing electricity demand with existing options, given the surge in AI, data centres and electrification.
The poll, of 783 SA voters, found 63 per cent supported the state expanding its nuclear industry to explore electricity generation.
This included majority support among voters for all parties other than the Greens, with 58 per cent backing from Labor voters, 78 per cent from One Nation and 82 per cent from Liberal supporters.
More Greens voters, 43 per cent, back nuclear energy than oppose, 34 per cent.

Cleveland Meredith, from North Carolina, was arrested on Monday over a Facebook post in April that allegedly read: “ALL J6 Federal JUDGES will be EXECUTED!”

Another post, noted in the complaint, reads: “The midterms will be an absolute MASSACRE.”

Morning all. On this alleged SA survey on nuclear power, HH, I would like to see the wording of the question.
SA has no energy shortage. Do 63% of South Australians really want more costly power?
Holdenhillbilly @ 7.08am.
This polling aggregate is very warming for those of us who like to see the end of Chumpistan.
However, as I have posited many times, in an electoral system which is rigged against fair voting franchise, non-mandatory attendance at a polling place, polling on a work day and the vagaries of the weather I would hope that all of those leaning towards the Democrats or Independents are able to get out and be counted.
The early voting figures may be indicative that people are getting out to be counted.
Americans dont have elections, they have an auction to see who can buy seats on the board.
$11b USD and counting for this midterm. You could run a small national disability insurance scheme with that much money.
Socrates @ 7.14am.
I wouldn’t be too concerned regarding any polling in the Adelaide Advertiser.
Ai and Data Centres shouldn’t be a concern in SA as I can’t believe that a SA Labor Government would not be enforcing the Commonwealth’s condition that all such centres are powered by Renewable Energy, which they provide.
My greater concern would be the provision of the enormous amount of clean water required to act as a coolant.
I recall being in Adelaide when the locals went troppo regarding the proposition to privatise the water supply, formulated by the then Liberal Government.
Site these centres, up the Gulf, where they can build a desalination plant(s) for their water requirements and build Wind and Solar Farms for their excessive energy requirements.
No centre is given the authority to operate until the two latter provisions are met.

This second story is an update from yesterday: revised death toll up from 26 to 33.
These are cases of humanitarian aid or medical centres (one also a school) being struck by Russian military strikes. These show that humanitarian aid to Ukraine can be rendered ineffective if it is not protected by Ukraine’s military. It is vital for Ukraine to receive military support if it is to survive Russia’s military onslaught against them.
David Shoebridge and Pauline Hanson need to drop their opposition to sending military aid to Ukraine. Ukrainians have been pleading for military aid. They need to stop listening to their own voices of ideology and callousness for a moment, and pay attention to what the victims of Russia’s military aggression have been telling them.
The efforts maintained by the right wing media, the tantrums, the gnashing of teeth, the headlines, the selfish commentators and the general bellyaching to undermine the best government Australia has had in the first quarter of this century, has been an extrodinary failure in so many ways.
The right wing media have helped destroy the old coalition, both Liberals and Nationals, with their efforts.
The same media have promoted the PHON abomination way beyond its capabilities.
And the despite the “get Albo”, “get Chalmers” and get the strong performance of the Albanese Labor government, the same media can be seen to be “thrashing” about, determined to ignore the reality of the “fourth industrial” revolution and promote the now proven disasters of nuclear energy and environmental vandalism.
Everyday brings a new avalanche of right wing accusations and a crescendo of “we’ll all be ruined” from right wing commentary.
Meanwhile Labor continues to perform, enacting policy, reviewing policy and providing certainty.
The “angst” is often best displayed by the “loonies” swamping the PB “bedsheets” with “political hormonal” irrationality and “moans” of false achievements.
Another list reminding the proletariat of the Labor achievements and global comparisons is needed to “drown” the false dawns emanating the from the right media and their “past its used by date” verbal rubbish.
Imagine if the Commonwealth of Australia was in the hands of any number of “flat earthers” and their cults.
Someone, a few days ago, claimed that “crocodiles were clever” in regard to the crocodilians and their habits.
The crocodiles masquerading as the media are displaying the same traits as our northern Australian dinosaurs.
Looks like the new language of “net savings” has taken hold
Half makes sense. Cutting one thing just to pay for another isn’t an actual budget saving although if the thing being funded needs funding the money has to come from somewhere. If it’s not a saving from somewhere else it’s from consolidated revenue
I think Tim Wilson saying for every $2 saved the government is spending $3 is way out though
Fun fact. Crocodilians aren’t dinosaurs but doves are.
The best australian government this century is on track to deliver economic growth slowing to just 1.3% over 2027-28, higher unemployment, lower wages, and lower productivity. The best government this century is delivering brand new coal and gas projects to be operating out to the end of the century, the most intense state surveillance in australian history, and boundless air polluting, well poisoning ai data centres throughout our communities.
Fantastic. Great move. Well done albo.
YO! Shoebridge! The miserable bastard can’t bring himself to support even missile interceptors.
The Greens will be leading daily mass peaceful protests in Australia against these outrages.

Well, he did just send over squillions of missiles. AND he is going to shift to Israel if rejected by his ungrateful subjects. Probably get a house on the same street as James and Bibi. Or maybe open a golf course on the Gaza beach. Plenty of ready made bunkers, apparently.
My guess? He is trying to wrangle the Iranians in some very tough negotiations and he just does not need Israel to keep nipping over, bomb a few things, and thereby try to provoke the Iranians into retaliation.
