Newspoll: 51-49 to Coalition

Scott Morrison records another personal best approval rating, as Newspoll maintains its stable-to-a-fault record on voting intention.

The Australian reports the latest Newspoll has the Coalition’s lead at 51-49, unchanged on three weeks ago. On the primary vote, the Coalition is steady at 42%, Labor up a point to 35%, the Greens down one to 11% and One Nation down one to 3%. Scott Morrison records another personal best on leader ratings, his approval up two to 68% and disapproval down two to 27%, while Anthony Albanese is now at 42% on both approval and disapproval, which are respectively up by one and two. Morrison’s lead as preferred prime minister is at 58-26, out from 56-26. The poll was conducted Wednesday to Saturday from a sample of 1521.

  2. Hello everybody,

    Long time no visit.

Just robopolled in Peel WA on a mobile.

  3. Speaking of “stalkers”…..Trust Cat to make up any shite about what she believes I think….Any smear, any innuendo….whatever it takes.

Thank Dog yours is a mini-post, not like your thesis on C-19, like everything else you’re an expert on, with GG in earnest agreement thereof. I can’t recall who said it earlier, but your form verily exceeds your substance.

Amid widespread civil rights protests and a nationwide pandemic, Public Enemy released an anti-Trump anthem, calling for the resignation of President Donald Trump even before the 2020 general election.

“I think that what we’re seeing now is a question of young energy saying, ‘why are you playing around with my future?’ And whenever you look at the old authoritarian guards in their 70s making judgment calls for the future, I think it finally hits the fan where younger people are saying … ‘listen man, you can’t play around with my future.'”

History says they talk a good fight but, don’t turn out to vote!

Speaking of “stalkers”…..Trust Cat to make up any shite about what she believes I think….Any smear, any innuendo….whatever it takes.

Maybe that’s because you never tie your colours to the mast. Instead you slyly put something up here, and let’s be honest about it, no one else put that article up, you did, Pegasus, and so what ARE we to assume? That you disagree with the premise and intent of the article? Doesn’t look that way to the casual observer, and you sure as hell didn’t make it clear.

Yet, yet again, you get up in arms and make scurrilous and sensorious accusations about being ‘stalked’ (how very feminist of you, Pegasus, NOT), when you get called out on it.

It’s about time you grew up, Pegasus, and gave the Labor wrecking ball schtick away. It’s not getting you anywhere and it’s now making for some strange bedfellows.

Lord knows why I EVER stepped up to defend you. You are THE most ungrateful wretch. With not a collegiate bone in your body and entirely emblematic of The Greens and everything that is wrong with them. You should be ashamed for what you have done tonight but instead you have tried to shoot the messenger instead of acknowledging your mistake.

No wonder The Greens only continually get ~10% of the vote, teens and young adults usually mature out of such a childish party, only to leave supporters like you who never seem to have grown up.

The reason the Coalition remains in power is because more Australians are gainers than losers financially by having the Coalition in power.
    It’s the economy.”

    Concise as concise is.
I guess the question is then the qualifying “financially “

    Holdenhillbilly

    Murdoch trying to provide “balance”.

Only 72% support Andrews. I’m sure he is devastated.

Good numbers for Anna in Queensland. keeping the infidels from NSW has been a winner for her!

No TPP. Would be too ugly for the Libs in Victoria, I’m sure.

  11. Cat

Thank you once again for yet another character assessment. Life is too short to bother unpacking and unpicking your predictable rant. Enjoy your night.

  12. Bills putting the boot in!
Yay someone fighting for the ALP. Also taking time to remind everyone of sports rorts.

  13. Simon Benson’s focus on net satisfaction scores is confusing. I wouldn’t conclude from ratings of 72% approval and 24% disapproval for Morrison and 59% to 35% for Palaszczuk that the former was “almost twice as popular as Ms Palaszczuk in the Sunshine State”, but Benson does so based on their respective net ratings being +48% and +24%.

  14. ”The reason the Coalition remains in power is because more Australians are gainers than losers financially by having the Coalition in power.“

Some are, like publicly funded superannuants, property speculators, high income earners and tax evaders (big overlaps between categories, especially the last two).

There are others who think they are better off but either are worse off or about the same.

Then there’s the culture war stuff.

The banks will start foreclosures in a couple of months. They have to. No one else is going to pay the interest on the bad debts.

The smart thing to do will be for bad mortgages to be securitised and the sold to the RBA. This will take doubtful assets off the books of the banks and Ensure they can continue to lend for housing in a stable property market.

The bond administrators will then have to set about the orderly reconstruction of the distressed loans, and might take equity in some of the mortgaged property. This would not hurt anyone but would protect all other land-holders from the dumping of distressed properties. The alternative – the liquidation of the houses of the unemployed-due-to-covid – would be an avoidable disaster.

  16. He never does and Mr Bowe has warned him numerous times about directly lifting stories from paywalled media.

In fact, I’m pretty sure I told him he’d be banned if he did it again. That’s certainly what I’ll do next time.

  17. Solid answer from Bill Shorten, nobody has any faith in the Liberal government grants since sports rorts.

Now laTrioli starting to bolshie up.

The smoke and mirrors of the $250m is starting to unravel

    You’re a douche moderator!

  19. How many times has Trioli had to get Fletcher back on track with the question? And he accuses her of using talking points!

  20. I think laTrioli has little to loose from being a bit bolshie and Bill should be a little lounder with his under the breath comments.

Dear, please stop making a public fool of yourself; go to bed, and have REM sleep about how you’ll counter rombat – if only he’d be interested.
